Whether a child is stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or a dedicated dancer is preparing for competition season and beyond, every class is guided by instructors with world-class credentials and a genuine commitment to each student’s growth.
At Studio One Dance Academy, our mission is to transform passion into artistry and potential into performance, nurturing every dancer from their very first class to their most demanding moment on stage. Across our studios in Cape Town and the Winelands, we offer training of the highest standard in an environment where excellence and enjoyment exist side by side. What fills us with pride, and keeps us reaching higher every day, is our commitment to living up to the Studio One mantra: "Built for Every Dancer."
Our classes span every age and stage, from ballet for two-year-olds taking their very first steps in dance, to adult classes that throw the door wide open with a wholehearted "first-timers welcome." Because at Studio One, it is never too early, and it is never too late.
We are also constantly growing, expanding and refining our curriculum, broadening our celebration of diverse dance disciplines, while always honouring our roots in classical and traditional styles.
From a child's very first ballet class to competition-ready training, Studio One offers a full programme across eight disciplines at five locations throughout the Western Cape, with studios in the Northern Suburbs and the Cape Winelands. Whether in Brackenfell, Durbanville, Paarl, Franschhoek or Somerset West, Studio One Dance Academy has something exciting for all dancers.

Die Ateljee Studio: The first venue to host Studio One classes can be found at The Dione Centre in Brackenfell. The spacious nature of this studio always feels even more expansive in the beams of sunshine and natural light filling the space, and with the added benefit of the wall length mirrors along the dane barres, creating a space where the room for freedom and movement reigns.
Rooted Studio: Studio One's Durbanville home is found at Rooted Studio in the quiet neighbourhood of D'urbanvale, a dedicated dance and wellness space that brings a considered, calm energy to every session. The studio is spacious, professionally equipped, and hosts one of Studio One's most comprehensive timetables.
Think Silver Studio: Studio One's newest home is at Think Silver Studio on Bright Street, one of Somerset West's most characterful addresses, tucked inside the Mayfair wellness building alongside Schoon Café and a community of small businesses that share a common belief: that how you move through the world matters. It is exactly the kind of environment Studio One belongs in.
